Story Excerpts
“I was kneeling on the floor next to my suitcase when suddenly, one of the guards shoved me aside, onto the floor, and with the end of his weapon, he began tossing my belongings out of my suitcase onto the filthy airport floor. As I was crouching on the floor, with my belongings strewn around me, my entire body was shaking in total, abject terror. The three guards were standing over me, each with their weapon pointed directly at my chest.”
“He asked if we would speak with two forensic federal investigators who reported directly to the US Attorney’s office and who specialized in embezzlement cases. I agreed to meet with them and a date and time was arranged. My hands were trembling as I hung up the phone, after which time I sat down and wept again.”
